What is HESA?
The House of Commons Standing Committee on Health (“the committee”) is empowered to study and report on all matters relating to the mandate, management, and operation of Health Canada.
Why Watch it?
Since ~2023 its been A Grievance Committee, with members [among other things] giving chronic/embittered moral tirades, “interrogating” witnesses with loaded questions/posting the “gotcha clips” on social media .
They also bring in very questionable witnesses, and this page will focus on two of them, saving the best [Dr Julian Somers] for last.
Dr. Sharon Koivu
Dr. Koivu is one of the most devoted critics of Safe Supply, and she may have an appearance of conflict of interest driving her devotion – via potential lost OAT billings. She also falsely implies her lost ‘patients’ do not get OAT at their Safe Supply clinics.
