People who have housing are choosing to sleep in tents near a drug store where they fill their prescriptions for hydromorphone, which they often sell to get illicit fentanyl. In this way, “safe supply” is fuelling the use of fentanyl and creating new addiction. [I saw this firsthand when I visited London earlier this year]
